Webquest:

A web quest was designed specifially for this project to aid in the research that the students will be doing to complete the project. Each student was given a different tribe to reseach. The Web Quest is very detailed and easy to navigate for this particular grade level. The address to the web quest is www.bsu.edu/web/skim2/burris_project.htm

Worksheet:

Mrs. Segedy had a worksheet made up to help the kids take notes. The work sheet had simple questions for the children that served as directions on the information that Mrs. Segedy wanted them to present in their project.

Learning Inspiration:

The students have had one previous experience with Inspiraton that took place last year. This program gives the students and opportunity to create concept maps for their presentations. Many things about using Inspiration had to be gone over with the students. Once the information was refeshed in their minds they used the program with ease.

Creating Concept Maps:

The children will create concept maps from the information that they researched using the web quest. They can turn the balloons into pictures or just add pictures throught the map. They also add notes to the balloons with the information they have gathered. Making the concept maps have helped the students to organize the information that they have researched. All of the concepts maps created were unique in their own way. The students had great ideas and their work reflected the amount of time that they had put into the project.

Presenting Concept Maps:

At the end of the project, the students will be presenting their projects to the whole class. The students are using the projector and showing their concept maps on the big screen. During their presentations they are explaining what they have done and showing the class the notes that they added in to their concept maps. They are also taking questions from both the teacher and the students
