Readings indicated on syllabus are meant to augment lecture material.  Please read the textbook, and try to bring it to class every day, as I will frequently refer to figures in the assigned chapter for that particular day.

No bonus points of any type will be available in BIO 113 this semester; no ‘curve’ will be used on any test or assignment.

Please discuss all class issues with the course instructor initially – if you have a problem (different than a complaint), there is always a way for me to help you solve it.  This class will challenge you, but grading is fair.  Therefore, please study 1-2 hrs daily, keep up with the reading material, and demonstrate a good attitude.

Plagiarism will not be tolerated.  Any assignments where plagiarism is apparent will receive a ‘0’ grade and the student will be referred to the Dean’s Office.

Attendance in lecture and lab is required.  University regulations mandate that attendance is taken every day of class. You are expected to notify me (advance notice, if possible) in the event you cannot attend lecture or lab.  You are responsible for all material covered in your absence.

Disability Access: If you need course adaptations or accommodations because of a disability, if you have emergency medical information to share with me, or if you need special arrangements in case the building must be evacuated, please make an appointment with me as soon as possible.
