If your BSU username and password do not work or if there are Email problems:

A. Double-check your username and password. They are case-sensitive.

B. Try to "resynchronize" your password here:
http://www.bsu.edu/web/vmsnt/

C. Ball State's University Computing Services has quite a bit of information online. Visit:
http://www.bsu.edu/web/ucs/faq/

D. Maybe your BSU Email account is full. Visit
http://www.bsu.edu/webmail/
and log in to the BSU Email Support Console. You might have to delete some of those inbox and sent messages.

E1. Extended (distance) education students can call the School of Extended Education at 1-800-872-0369 (8-5 M-F). Extended education students can also call the Computing Services help desk toll-free at 1-866-771-3276.

E2. For on-campus students, visit the University Computing Services Help Desk in RB 165 with a picture ID and they'll give you a new password.

F. Check out the Resources Page published by Ball State's School of Extended Education:

www.bsu.edu/distance/resources/

G. Contact the instructor. Even though the instructor is here to help you, password and Email problems sometimes require greater access authority than is available to instructors. Still, if you've exhausted other means, maybe the instructor can help you find an answer.

Contacts

Sometimes, communication with another student (or even someone outside the class) can help you think through a problem and gain a different perspective.
Use Blackboard's communication tools.

5. Get help from Blackboard.

Blackboard supplies a student manual that can help you use Bb.
Click on the "Student Tools" section to access the student manual.

6. Use other resources.

If you are not at the BSU campus, or even if you are, you might find the answers you are looking for at a library elsewhere, or through a phone call.

7. Build a network of colleagues.

By forming a large network of contacts and professional ties, you might find more than support and help.
