Listeners may now purchase transcripts from NPR online!

Though the user experience is still being streamlined and improved, NPR is now offering transcripts for individual stories, delivered instantly to users online. The online transcripts cost $3.95 per story and are available on the same day or the day after a show airs. These transcripts are available for the following programs aired on Indiana Public Radio: Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Talk of the Nation, Weekend Edition Saturday, and Weekend Edition Sunday, among others. This new service is a complement to, not a replacement for, the existing tapes and transcript service that NPR has offered for several years.

NPR hopes that the ability to purchase a single segment of a program as opposed to the entire program will be of great value to listeners, offering affordable and instantaneous access to a wealth of NPR material. See this new service at http://www.npr.org/transcripts.
