
Matt Belobraydic - Geology |
Matt
is a master's student in Geology at Ball State University with an emphasis
in Fluvial Geomorphology. His research involves the restoration of two
streams near Muncie, IN, to a more natural state. Matt
graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s in Geology in 2003.
His teaching experience includes three years of introductory geology labs at
both Ball State and the University of Idaho. After
Matt graduates from
Ball State, he plans on pursuing a Ph.D. in Geology.

Luke Crawley - Physics |
Luke is pursuing a masters degree in physics as well as
secondary education licensure. Luke graduated from Ball State in 2002 with
a degree in religious studies and a minor in physics. He then spent a
couple years substitute teaching and a semester as an aide for a seventh
grade student.

Aaron Debbink - Physics
|
Aaron is in his third as a masters student in
physics at Ball State University. He is also currently pursuing a secondary
teaching license in physical science. Aaron has one year of teaching
experience and holds an undergraduate degree in physics-engineering from
Taylor University.

Courtney Hall - Natural Resources |
Courtney Hall is a masters student in the Department of
Natural Resources and Environmental Management. Her research interests
include environmental education and Project WET. She will be continuing
with her doctorate at Ball State University after completion of her masters
degree in December of 2005.

Stephanie Hines - Natural Resources
|
Stephanie is currently pursuing master's degrees in Natural Resources &
Environmental Management and in Elementary Education. Prior to BSU, she
worked with environmental non-profits in Colorado and Indiana. Stephanie
has taught English as a foreign language and environmental education to
all age groups. Her graduate research is in using gardens as a
cross-disciplinary teaching tool.

Cheryl Kellogg - Biology
|
Cheryl is a masters student in Biology at Ball State University. Prior coming to Indiana, Cheryl taught biology at Northwest College in Powell Wyoming. Cheryl's undergraduate work was in biology and medical technology from Ferris State University and the University of Rochester, Rochester New York

Fran Rushing -
Biology
|
Fran is a master's degree student in the biology department
at Ball State working with cell signal transduction pathways in human cells.
She has 11 years of experience teaching high school earth science, biology,
and botany, most recently finishing 6 years at Carmel High School. Fran
plans to return to the classroom next year to teach more biology.

Dustan Smith - Chemistry/Human
Biology
|
Dustan is a third year PIE scientist persuing a masters of chemistry
education degree. A graduate of the University of Indianapolis, Dustan
taught high school Chemistry and Biology for three years before coming to
Ball State. After completing his degree, he plans to return to the middle
school or high school classroom teaching chemistry and physics. Dustan
hopes to eventually work on his doctoral degree in science education with a
focus on chemistry at either the high school or college freshman level.

Tom Sobat - Biology
|
Tom is
a doctoral candidate in the Biology Department at Ball State University.
More then 13 years of experience as a research biologist for the Arizona
Department of Game and Fish, the National Park Service and the Bureau of
Water Quality has given Tom a unique perspective that he brings with him
into the classroom. Tom’s teaching experience includes two years of
introductory laboratory instruction for biology majors and pre-service
teachers. As well as, lecture courses in general biology, aquatic
entomology and the ecology of barrier islands.
