Local school groups, ranging from kindergarten to high school, schedule visits with the Ball State University graduate assistant who works at  Hults Environmental Learning Center (JHELC). The graduate assistant will then meet with the school group and lead them through a variety of activities on the property. Some of the activities include tree and wildflower identification, aquatic insect identification, soil and water quality testing, and other basic ecological concepts. Most of the students take away from JHELC a greater understanding of their environment and a wonderful outdoor experience that they will remember for years to come.
