Plant Height: 15-40 cm, softly hairy plant, leaves and flower on same stalk

Flower: complete; perfect; 5 sepals; 5 petals, lower ones with dark veins, lateral ones bearded, lower petals spurred
Inflorescence: single flower
Fruit: capsule
Leaves: simple; heart-shaped; hairy
Bloom Time: April-June
Origins: native
Other: hairiness of species distinctive among yellow violets
