I've been going to college at Ball State University in Muncie, IN since the fall of 1999.  Currently it's my fourth year here, but I still have one more year to go before I can graduate.  I'm double majoring in Zoology and Wildlife Biology, and I was going to pick up a third major in Ecology, but that would mean having to take two more classes and I just don't think I have the time to do that if I want to graduate next year!

This year is my first year to actually live in my own place! I've lived in the dorms on campus for the past three years until this past fall when I got an apartment with my friend David. It's not a bad place, but it could be better! It would be a lot better if we didn't have such trashy neighbors!!! They throw trash all around the place, it's disgusting!  The good thing about having an apartment is that you get to have pets, and I love having pets. I have 2 of the cutest rats in the world named Danny and Paul (you know, Danny and his boyfriend Paul from Real World New Orleans?). Yeah, it's sort of a dumb idea for names, but I seriously think they are gay since they try mounting each other, if you know what I mean! But ANYWAY, they are cute and very large and very fat.  David also got a kitty which he so creatively has names Kitty. He's the dumbest cat in the world, but he's cute and I like having him around even if he does drive me crazy sometimes.

So right now, I am taking five classes in school. I'm taking fascinating Biochemistry (sarcasm here). I really do hate chemistry with a passion, it's just not interesting and the class is so abstract. I really like learning about stuff you can actually SEE rather than just hypothesize about. I am also taking a class called Soil Resources. It's not too bad of a class, but it still has too much chemistry involved for me to really get too into...I mean it's just dirt, get over it already.  Then there is Forestry which is probably my favorite class of the semester. It's sort of an interesting class and it is about stuff you can actually see and involves a little bit of everything that has to do with forest growth, development, and management. I'm taking another class called Principles Of Biology 3, which is really nothing more than a intro plant biology course which i really already had, but Ball State changed some classes and screwed me over, so needless to say I don't really go to it very often.  I don't even NEED to go, really, since all of his lectures are online to download in Power Point files that he basically just reads to us straight from the screen. Finally, I am taking the ever challenging Fitness Walking course...because it is required. Basically the name explains it completely.

Also, I currently work in a computer lab on campus through UCL. It's my third year as a lab assistant.  This year I have found out that UCL really sucks ass and the people who run it can be complete assholes. The GA lab manager is especially bad. I know more about the lab than he does, but he still feel free to be an asshole to the people who work under him.  Lets not forget to mention how unrealistic their employee policies are. I mean seriously...real jobs are not even as strict or hard on thier employees as they are....and this is just a SMALL campus job for students. Really...some people take things a little TOO seriously and need to learn to lighten up.  But...the main point is to let people know that UCL sucks and that the computers in the labs are terribly unreliable and cheap.
