Our Purpose

Our purpose
is to promote global citizenship for all children through education by
advocating for children's rights to survival, protection, and development.
Objectives
  • To provide resources in educating and advocating for children's rights to survival, protection, and development.
  • To foster quality educational opportunities for ALL children.
  • To facilitate excellence in teacher education.
Accomplishing these objectives requires collaboration with families, communities, and governments.
 
            This website was created by a group of education professionals.  Our goal is to facilitate progress toward the Millennium Development Goals, particularly the achievement of universal primary education (#2).

             In support of UNICEF’s Midterm Strategic Plan, we understand that the eradication of poverty (#1), the promotion of gender equality (#3), and the reduction of child mortality (#4) have a direct impact on children's successful education.

            As a nongovernmental organization (NGO), the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) actively supports these goals.
