To further my knowledge of the Spanish language and culture, I have traveled abroad. Here are some of the places that I have traveled to and the universities I have attended. |

From July of 1995 to January of 1996 I studied abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica. While there I attended the Universidad Nacional, where I studied Spanish, Art History, and Drawing. This program was with AFS, an international program for students to study abroad. Go here for photos and experiences I had. |

During my freshman year at Clarke College, I took an art history course that traveled to Mexico, where we toured the country looking at the pyramids, ruins, and artifacts from the ancient civilizations. Upon our return, each student had to create some artwork that was based upon our experiences. We had an art show to display these works. |

To get another outlook on the Spanish culture, I studied abroad during my junior year at Clarke College. I attended the University of St. Louis, Madrid Campus from January 1999 to May of 1999. There I focused on Spanish literature and Art History. I had access to the Prado art museum, as well as many other cultural cities and buildings.
