Lesson Plans

There are several sets of standards that guide teachers in the way they teach. Here are some lesson plans that I have developed which incorporate some of the INTASC principles, the National Education Technology Standards (NETS), and the Standards for Foreign Language Learning (SFLL).

Artifacts	As a part of my EDSEC 601 observation class, I have developed a list of the INTASC Principles and correlating AYA Standards matched with artifacts that demonstrate my knowledge of both.
Las alcobas de la casa	Here is a lesson plan that I designed to teach students the vocabulary of the rooms of a house. See the lesson plan By clicking on the house you will be able to see the lesson plan, and a description of how it works, and how it is applied to the INTASC and SFLL standards.  In this lesson plan I incorporated the INTASC principles #2, and #6. I also focused on the Communication aspect of the SFLL, focusing on standard 1.1 and 1.2.
Pasatiempos	Here is a review of vocabulary for Pasatiempos. The lesson plan is centered around various vocabulary activities and games that were created on the computer, using Quia.com. The lesson plan serves as an introduction to the past time vocabulary, and as a way of reviewing the material, either at home or in class.
The Mayans	The Mayan Interdisciplinary Unit- developed as a part of my EDJHM 601 class. It is an integrated unit designed for 6th graders taking Spanish, Technology Education, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
ETA	Here is a lesson plan that incorporates different learning strategies. It is focused on Spain, and the group ETA from northern Spain.
