All About Me

Well hey, I'm headed for my sophomore year at BSU now, although I'm actually a sophomore-and-a-half creditwise since my French course netted me a LOT of back credits. I've been dating Thomas for 7 months, which have been the best 7 months of my life despite all the troubles a relationship can bring. My grades are doing better but my time's constantly nonexistant, thus the never-updating of my site...~_~

I finally found out what anime character I look like...Ami from DNA^2! Seriously, I was watching it and getting creeped out because of how much she looks like me...my hair's getting longer but when it's short I don't even have to work to cosplay her, I already look like her. Which I think is cool 'cause she's pretty ^_^ My ears are totally un-pierced now, although that may eventually change, and I still wear a lot of either blue, red, black, white, or various combinations thereof, including purple. I'm still not sure why. That's just how it works out.

Obviously I'm a Mega Man fan and have been since Mega Man 2, although I own precious few of the games myself I've played a lot of them and am looking for ROMs of the ones I don't have (shhh!). While I don't support getting ROMs for easily-available games, I also don't have the money and time to scour every used games store I come across. And how many copies of Mega Man 1 have you seen lying around recently? I also play a lot of RPGs, especially Final Fantasy but not Tactics (but I want to). I'm also getting way into Neverwinter Nights way after the fact...Elven rogue/fighters RULE you!

Blue Bomber Blues


The comic that started it all. The truth is, I was inspired by Life of Wily to make my own sprite comic. I found the sprites all around the 'net, with most of them from www.spritehq.com and Heat Man's Homepage. I mostly write the strips randomly, following whatever story might come out of the gibberish I come up with. Sometimes the strips are influenced by real life, and then again sometimes they seem to influence real life. Example: Dr. Light got a filling. Then I got a filling. I came back to school and told my band director, IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE BAND, "Hi. I just got a fiwwing at da dentist." They laughed at me. "You'we mean! Stop waffing at me!" I replied, sounding for all the world like Dr. Light. Later one of my friends said I sounded exactly like how she imagined Dr. Light would sound in the comic. I was a bit afraid.

Why Mega Man comics? Because they're easiest to find sprites for. I'm not sure why, but I've found more really good sprites for Mega Man and his cohorts than anybody else so far. That and I'd just got off a conversation with my brother and one of our friends about funny Mega Man stuff, including a joke I haven't used yet about Mega Balls. So I was all primed for some Mega-type silliness, when I happened to go to the links section of The Official Mega Man Home Page and find Life of Wily. Thus it began.

I make all my comics using Adobe Photoshop 6.0, and a fine program it is. All the happy little lens flares n' whatnot I could ever want. It's almost too powerful for the job, but I've learned to harness its power and channel it into a little 2x2 bit of goodness. And yes, the format is also a lot like Life of Wily (I just keep coming back to that, don't I?), but that's what works best for me. You'll notice that the comics were highly irregular until the one introducing Grenade Joe and the new format. After that, everything fell right into place. I really can't think of anything else about BBB right offhand, so be sure to email me any questions and I'll either answer them in a reply, on this page, or in the comic. (Oh, and if you were wondering, nobody actually asked to see Dr. Light nude. I made that up. But you did get to see the comic template.)

My Current Status


Still using good (?) ol' HTML although I'm looking into php now...I'm dealing with mixed emotions about my boyfriend and I going to Japan, to different universities, at different times. Opportunity is more than knocking, it's kicked in the door and beat us with sledgehammers, but that doesn't mean it's not a difficult decision or a difficult time for us. Summer's got me bored but I'm semi-nervous about going back to school and getting a job alongside classes, and I'm just plain sad that updating has been so awful on my part...but that's not to say that life sucks, just that I have the sucky parts on my mind right now. Look at the oral surgery pic again anyway. So life's being a difficult bee-yatch right now, but that's how it is sometimes, and overall it's still pretty good and I'm doing alright. And that's how I am for now.
