EDTEC 320 is designed to anchor the development of computing skills for future teachers. We invite all teacher education students and programs to consider EDTEC 320 as an elective to support digital portfolios and general technology competence for future K-12 teachers. There are six modules within EDTEC 320 that consist of a combination of traditional faculty-lead instruction, laboratory activities, and online content. ELEMENTARY EDUCATION MAJORS. EDTEC 320 is intended for students who have not had an introductory computer skills course. If you have already taken CS 102 or ITDPT 110, consider EDTEC 350 instead as a more advanced follow-up to those courses. With an advisor's substitution approval, EDEL students in the technology concentration may count EDTEC 320 towards the Computer Education Teaching License, a 21-hour add-on license license that is designed to prepare future school technology facilitators. See the EDTEC web site for more information. SECONDARY AND ALL-GRADE MAJORS. EDTEC 320 is designed for any future teacher and makes a practical elective to support your general technology development. With an advisor's substitution approval, EDTEC 320 can be counted towards the Computer Education Teaching License, a 21-hour add-on license license that is designed to prepare future school technology facilitators. See the EDTEC web site for more information.
