Lucas Digital
Lucas Digital is broken up into two main sections, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) and Skywalker Sound.  Together these two divisions alone have accumulated 27 Academy awards and 15 Technical Achievement awards.

ILM  is the largest digital production facility in the world, and it alone has "three times the number of computer graphic work stations as the next largest visual effects facility."

Skywalker Sound focuses mainly on the sound editing of films and other various means of entertainment.  Skywalker Sound is an innovative company increasing the sound quality for "big-budget films, independent films, IMAX, theme rides, commercials, sound for web sites, and games."

LucasArts Entertainment Company
LucasArts provides LucasFilm with computer and video games for such systems as:  PC Windows, Macintosh, GameCube, XBox, Dreamcast, Playstation, Playstation 2 and Nintendo 64.  Generally the games follow a storyline similar to a film being produced by another division of the LucasFilm industries.

  Lucas Learning Ltd.
Lucas Learning was spurned from a love of learning in CEO George Lucas.  In a desire to make learning in grades K-12 more entertaining and fun, Lucas created interactive computer systems and software as well as founding the George Lucas Educational Foundation (GLEF).  These two items together create the portion of LucasFilm known as Lucas Learning.

THX
In 1980 George Lucas revolutionized the sound quality in movie theatres throughout the world.  Lucas, in an effort to make sure that movie sound was reproduced at the quality and level intended to be heard by the audience, created THX. (named after his first film THX 1138)  Before Lucas knew it, "more than 2000 theatres and dubbing stages around the world meet THX requirements." (THX) As a result Lucas created a regulated standard for Movie theatre sound.
