Psysc100 Personal Learning Project
can help you locate articles from magazines and journals. Below are some of the more common indexes used to find psychological information:
PsycInfo contains information on psychology. You can search PsychInfo online - look for it in the library database. You can also search it on the first floor of the library near the reference desk. If you have trouble, ask a reference librarian for help. To identify appropriate search terms, use the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms available in the library, or online by pressing [F9]. Once you have found possible resources, you will need to search WebCat to verify if we have the journals and books you've found at BSU. (In the summer sessions, there is not enough time to do inter-library loans.)
ERIC contains information on education. You can search Eric online - look for it in the library database. It is also available on the main floor of the reference area of the library. It Covers the field of education, including journal articles, and conference proceedings. Few full-text articles are available, but the database indicates which magazines and journals are owned by the Ball State University Libraries. To identify appropriate search term, click on the Thesaurus button on the search screen.
