Who is this guy?!? I'm glad you asked that question. I welcome you to my personal space bubble. It is a happy place.

My name is Dennis Gill, Jr. I was born at a very young age in a small town on the inland shores of North Carolina. Then my parents got jobs and we moved. For the last twelve years, I've lived in the big city hustle and bustle of Indianapolis (and anyone who lives here can tell you that is a contradiction in terms).

I progressed through school learning all about life, colors, and bad interior decorating through schools scientifically described as yuck. I was a blue and white Tiger, a green and white Viking, and then an (ugh) orange and black Rocket. I guess it could have been okay, except for the marching band uniforms. (Hey! It's Halloween all year long!) Needless to say, I graduated 14th in my class. La di freakin' da.

So now, I've hit the big time. As an MET (Music Engineering Technology) Major, I currently reside in a dorm room at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, home of Garfield the Cat and other famous individuals. (Just to make one thing clear: I'm not just attending David Letterman's college, I went to his high school, too.) I fully intend to add myself to that list.

What can you do with an MET degree, you ask? Well, I wish I could tell you the answer to that one, but I'm wondering myself. However, any major that requires a minor in Applied Physics has to be good for you, right? From what I gather, MET majors can do a wide assortment of things. We can record concerts and performances in whatever acoustically appaling situation we're placed in. We can design excessively cool "überstereo" soundscapes for movies and, with the
Nintendo Gamecube, video games (hehehehe). We can sit for hours and days on end listening to beeps, blips, and clicks from different areas of a room until we are at the point of wishing to cause minor malice to small animals. The possibilties are endless.

My plans for my degree are very simple. I want to work for Nintendo as a video game composer.

Well, that's about all you need to know. Thanks for coming and enjoy the show!
