Ring Stand and Accessories
A ring stand is a metal rod with a base used to suspend or raise equipment above the work surface.  Many accessories are designed to assist in specific labs.  One such accessory is a buret clamp that attaches to a ring stand and holds a buret.  One of the most versatile accessories is a simple iron ring.  A ring can hold a funnel, a wire mesh that can hold beakers and flasks, or a clay triangle that can hold crucibles and evaporating dishes.  A utility clamp can be used to hold many piece of equipment.  More that one of these accessories can be attached to the same ring stand in order to accomplish the tasks of the chemist.
