Ring Stand and Accessories A ring stand is a metal rod with a base used to suspend or raise equipment above the work surface. Many accessories are designed to assist in specific labs. One such accessory is a buret clamp that attaches to a ring stand and holds a buret. One of the most versatile accessories is a simple iron ring. A ring can hold a funnel, a wire mesh that can hold beakers and flasks, or a clay triangle that can hold crucibles and evaporating dishes. A utility clamp can be used to hold many piece of equipment.
