MATHS 460 - BALL STATE UNIVERSITY - SUMMER 2000

Home

MATHS 460 is a course offered at Ball State University focusing on historical foundations of mathematics.  Usually, this course is taken as an elective for mathematics or secondary mathematics education majors.  This summer, our MATHS 460 class designed this site as both a project for evaluation and as a useful tool for mathematicians and teachers to use in their research and lesson instruction.

Here's a snapshot of the summer 2000 MATHS 460 class.  Pictured left to right is:  ROW 1:  Chuck Head, Matt Patterson. ROW 2:  Aaron Horak, Rodrigo Cambray, Graduate Assistant, Missy Michael, Inga Smiley. ROW 3:  Dr. Charles Jones, Instructor of MATHS 460, Summer Montgomery, and Aaron Ayres.

Each student in the picture constructed one area of this site.  The framework, navigation structure, and all diagrams not cited in the Resource List were all designed by Aaron Ayres.  The area content was created by one of the students in the class:
