Feast of Greenery
- - The Polish Feast of Greenery takes place as summer comes to an
end. The farm people bring great bouquets of herbs, vegetables, and
corn to the church. These bouqets have flowers from the fields and
gardens, which are blessed by the priest. These bouquets are carried home
and kept until the same day of the following year. When there is sickness
in the someone's house, the herbs from the bouqets used as medicine, This
is done for their animals, too.
