Pixar Animation was co-founded by Steve Jobs and Dr. Edwin E. Catmull.  In 1986 Steve Jobs purchased the computer graphics division of  Lucasfilm, LTD. for $10 million and forms the independent company of Pixar.  For the next 11 years Pixar creates and produces short films and commercials for various corporations.  In 1995 Pixar goes public and offered 6.9 million shares for $22 each.  In the same year the first Pixar full length film is madeThe film is Toy Story
