The first day of the charette provided students and faculty from Ball State with the opportunity to get to know the community.  Mayor Fulton conducted a tour of the community, and most of the rest of the day was spent talking with members of the community.  After a long day of work, numerous citizens of Berne opened up their homes for a much-appreciated night's rest.
