Historic Indianapolis School LEED Conversion
25,000 sf school built in 1901 on 9/10 of an acre near downtown Indianapolis for use as a private residence with a timeframe of 2-4 years.

The goal is through selective demolition and adaptive reuse achieve a platinum LEED certified residence that meets a variety of needs for the couple who plan to live there. These include residence, home office, entertainment areas suitable for large charitable events, 2-3 season areas, bringing outdoor gardens and spaces within the envelope, dog rescue facilities, and vehicle/antique vehicle storage. Key goal, buffer views and sound from the interstate one block south and industry to the north.

The owners are willing to try all sorts of new technologies and ideas, and will reimburse CAP and students for travel and other expenses for site visits, etc. The owner has already removed over 6 tons of "stuff" from the building, and not one pound has gone to the landfill, it has all been reused or recycled.
