EPA-P3 Student Design Competition
Project as Education Module

Adult and Community Learners

Download as PDF (0.8mb)

The learning module provides opportunities for the general public to learn about relationships of built-sites, people, prosperity, and the planet. It also demonstrates how development can play a positive and participatory role in regenerative systems. It introduces the public to the concept of “balance” including the resource balance goal of leaving systems as productive, or more productive, than we found them; and the ecobalance goal of intervening in systems in ways that the system is at least as healthy and productive as it was prior to intervention. The general interest in strawbale building is used not only to learn about strawbale as a sustainable building material, but more importantly to learn about P3 relationships, and the practical, economic, and environmental benefits of making decisions that promote healthy P3 relationships.
