2003 Blacksmith Open

Another trip to Columbia City and another successful meet for BSUPL.  Seven current team members lifted with six qualifying for Collegiate Nationals in Nebraska.  A pair of rookie girls came out for their first meet and looked strong.  Current veterans Dan Blackford and Justin Ware both had good meets; with Dan jumping up from the 65’s to become an 81. At 98' we had rookie Justin Schrock who just missed qualifying but still had a good rookie meet.  Also I am sure we are all surprised here, Matt Wenning dominated the meet with  impressive lifts that got the whole room going, and plenty of people talking.  We also had two Alumni in Clark and Williams, both having successful meets, proving that BSUPL is for life.  The entire team will be in action once again come Nationals.
