This is the second issue of the Ball State University English Department's Undergraduate Online Literary Magazine, broken plate.  The project began with a dirty, shattered dish lying on the coffee shop floor and, after some editorial initiative, became two issues we are quite proud to have produced.

This installment features poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction.  The jagged connections of words and images within these pieces parallel our attempts at fitting together the shards of our lives into a new and understandable form.  Shattered against the ground, the plate ain't what it used to be–there are now several new pieces that have different shapes than before.
