Hey, I'd just like to say thank you to all
our new members! Today, through membership dues, the German Club made over
$100, with which we hope to serve you well, and to better accomplish our
goals of providing a forum for furthering our knowledge of German language
and culture through experiences of various natures. For those of you who
did not pay today but would still like to become members, we will be accepting
dues during Sunday's dinner and a movie event--you can pay before or afterwards.
There are even a few of the books left to choose from, so, if you join
in time, you might be able to pick out a book in German over at North Quad.
The remaining books are currently in the care of our faculty sponsors,
Drs. Warner and Johnson. To all members, your membership cards should be
forthcoming, and watch for your membership benefits. I wish you all a good
second half of the fall semester and a great year overall!
Mit freundlichen Gruessen,
Chris Stroop, Praesident des Deutshcklubs
PS. To those of you who are new to this mailing list, feel free to e-mail me at any time with any questions you may have.
PPS. Don't forget Harvest Fest Monday Evening
from 5:30-8:00. I now have directions to the Wesley Foundation! :) Just
go south on McKinley, past the Student Center, almost to Jackson. You'll
see the Wesley Foundation on the right. IF ANYONE IS WILLING TO SHOW UP
AT 5:00 to help prepare food, your help would be appreciated. If you would,
e-mail Dr. Warner to let him know you're coming. Here's also a special
thanks in advance to him and his wife for the work they're putting into
the food we'll have at Harvest Fest!
