Hello once again to those interested in German Club! I just wanted to give you a quick reminder that some of your officers will be on hand in North Quad from 10 AM until 3 PM on Friday. We'll be manning a table and collecting the five dollar yearly dues from those desiring official membership. As an incentive, each member will get to choose a book in German from a large supply that was given to our department by an anonymous donor (available only while they last). I'd like to express thanks to our professors for suggesting that the books be used in this manner, and I encourage you all to take advantage of this opportunity. If you have already paid your dues, feel free to come and pick out a book.
Secondly, I'd like to recommend that all who are able come to Harvest Fest on Monday evening (October 30). The festivities go from 5:30-8:00 PM, and take place at the Wesley Foundation. Each language club will present a particular activity. For us, Dr. Warner will be teaching polka again. In addition, we'll have a lot of good German food on hand. A limited number of Harvest Fest t-shirts will also be sold at $15.00 a piece, for those of you who missed out on pre-ordering. If you buy a shirt and mention German Club, we'll receive some of the proceeds. For more information about directions to the church, contact Kinsey Swartz.
Don't forget dinner and "Cabaret" on Sunday, and Kulturabend on November 15! Also, you still have plenty of time to submit your German Club t-shirt designs. Oh, and don't forget the drama interest meeting tomorrow at 9 PM in the Botsford/Swinford main lounge.
Thanks for your continuing interest!
Mit freundlichen Gruessen,
ich verbleibe Ihr Chris Stroop, Praesident
des Deutshcklubs
