Dear German Club Students, Instructors, and German enthusiasts,

I'm writing to let you know about an upcoming German Club event. On Thursday, October 5, from 5 PM until whenever it ends (we have the facility until 9), we will be having a pinic and campfire. The location is the picnic shelter behind Christy Woods (across from Ball Memorial Hospital). Dinner will be at approximately 5:30. Come and enjoy German food, along with folk songs and polka instruction from Dr. Warner. This event will be free to all, with the condition that those who intend to come RSVP or sign up in North Quad (look for a sign up sheet on the German board soon). You may RSVP to me at 214-8771 or to respond to this e-mail. If you want to attend, you must sign up or RSVP by late evening of Sunday, October 1.

In addition to enjoying German food and culture and each other's company, we will be introducing the official membership program for German Club. If you already know you want to become a member, feel free to bring $5.00 in annual dues. We'll explain the benefits of membership in more detail than they have been hitherto described. We will probably also mention a few plans we have in the works, and you will be able to discuss anything you like informally with the officers present, or with advisers Drs. Johnson and Warner. But most of all, HAVE FUN. :)
