Christy Woods General Information

Christy
Woods is an 18 acre property located on the southwest corner of the Ball
State University campus (Figure 1). The
area is under the direction of the Department of Biology and is used as an
outdoor teaching laboratory for Ball State Students as well as the
community. Approximately three-fourths of the area is covered by mature
forest, dominated by a mixture of oak, hickory, ash, walnut, hackberry,
and maple. An open area with various planting beds in the center of the
Christy Woods property, and divides the forest into east and west areas.
