| Synopsis: |
This course will provide
experience in the maintenance and manipulation of various cell lines.
Both adherent and suspension cells will be utilized and various growth
parameters will be studied. Major emphasis will be placed on selection,
cloning of cells, cell synchronization and immunocytochemistry. Laboratory
exercises are designed to give practical, hands-on experience and train students
in cell culture techniques that will be useful in future endeavors.
