PURDUE UNIVERSITY - SCHOOL OF PHARMACY AND PHARMACAL SCIENCES
Plan of Study for the Pre-Pharmacy Program at Ball State University
Ball State University does not grant a degree in Pharmacy. You may choose to complete two years of pre-pharmacy on this campus. The following plans of study are specifically designed for those students who expect to apply for admission to the Purdue University School of Pharmacy and Pharmacal Sciences. If you decide to transfer to another institution other than Purdue, you may have to adjust your plan of study. Purdue offers only a Doctorate of Pharmacy (a 6-year program). The first two years of the program may be completed with the following courses at Ball State University.

APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Before applying for admission to Purdue University School of Pharmacy and Pharmacal Sciences, you should contact the Office of Student Services (765) 494-1357 or oss@pharmacy.purdue.edu for current and accurate information. Supplemental Purdue applications can be secured from the Office of Student Services or visit our web site at www.pharmacy.purdue.edu Applications are made through PharmCAS www.PharmCAS.org by Dec. 1.
2. Eligibility for admission will be determined
by a review of your high school and college academic records. You should achieve
at least a "B" average for all courses previously taken at a
recognized college or university. Grades earned at a Purdue Regional Campus will
transfer along with course credit. Those courses taken at any college or
university outside of the Purdue University Regional Campus System will transfer
as credit only and be recorded as such; however, all grades earned at an
accredited college or university will be used for admission purposes. Please
note that only a "C" grade or better will transfer.
This is a requirement for graduation not admission. General education electives may be started or completed on this campus. Students must select a minimum of one (1) course from each of the following course groupings. This policy is effective starting Fall 2003 (first prepharmacy year). Consult your advisor for more information.
