BUTLER UNIVERSITY PRE-PHARMACY PROGRAM
Suggested plan of study for Ball State students planning to apply to Butler University’s College of Pharmacy. Ball State University does not grant a degree in pharmacy. Students who have already earned some college credits may be accepted into the first, second or third year of the curriculum leading to a B.S. in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Due to the differences among pre-pharmacy curricula, a course-by-course evaluation is necessary for an assessment of the level at which a particular student would begin his/her study. A minimum of 3 years of professional pharmacy courses is required in addition to completing the designated basic sciences and general education requirements.
Admission as a transfer student having previous academic credit is very competitive. If you are interested in applying for admission to the summer session or fall semester of a given year and are a transfer student, your completed application and official copies of all transcripts should be received by the Office of Admissions by Feb. 15. You should also contact the Psychological Corporation at (800) 622-3231 to arrange to take the Pharmacy College Admission Test. Please inquire with the Psychological Corporation for further information regarding test date and test site availability.
Only a few students find it beneficial or feasible to enter during the spring semester. Applications for the spring term should be submitted at least 60 days before that semester begins. You should submit your completed application and other academic credentials to the Office of Admissions at your earliest convenience.
Please contact the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at (800) 368-6852, ext. 9969 if you have additional questions regarding the programs. Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) Information 2001-2002.
