ADOPT A RIVER CLEAN-UP
May 31, 2008

Please join the Ball State University NREM Alumni Society at our adopted section of the White River on Saturday, May 31 for the rescheduled first clean-up of 2008!

The NREM Alumni Society has adopted a one mile stretch of the White River in Hamilton County as an ongoing community service project.  We will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31 at Koteewi Park, 12308 E. Strawtown Ave, Noblesville, IN. From there we will be shuttled up to the new river access at Lafayette Trace Park and then float down to the adopted river segment.

Canoes, paddles, and PFDs will be provided courtesy of the White River Canoe Company. All participants will be required to wear a PFD while on the water and sign a waiver of liability.

Participants should bring: drinking water, sunscreen, gloves, and old shoes or water shoes. Family members are welcome. Children must be 10 years or older, be able to swim and be accompanied by a parent.

Please reserve your spot as early as possible but no later than May 27.

Reply to bsualumni@bsu.edu with your name and the names of any family members joining you (include the age of children). Also include a contact number where you can be reached on Saturday in the event that we must postpone again due to river conditions.

Questions can be addressed to John Maher at john.p.maher@delphi.com or bsualumni@bsu.edu
