Here are some excellent Simulations,Games & Inquiry:
The grade level for the game was placed in Kindergarten
and allowed the children to access the game very easily. The
game would be a good review if a classroom had been
discussing animals and their habitats. This is great for kids ages 3-7, which includes various
games, activities and links. This would be great resource to
show parents/guardians to use in the home to help teach
children outside of the classroom to motivate the education
of technology. It allows parents to be able to sign children
up for other exciting opportunities that children can
explore over the net. The site provides pre-made games in all areas and for all
ability levels. Students can explore the games and not
realize that they are reinforcing English or Math skills.
There are several games from which to choose; so there's
something for everyone! Interactive Flash website for young children. The site has educational activities which allows children
play games, discover the animal world, and a fully
interactive universe. http://www.esc20.net/etprojects/formats/sampler/pfeiffer01/rodeo2/default.html This a great inquiry based website that allows your
students to learn all about rodeo life. It is great virtual
field trip to the rodeo and allows students to experience by
reading stories about the farm life, see real animals from
the internet, play games and color animals from the
barn. This great inquiry lesson ideal for K-3 and would be
excellent to use in a thematic unit.
