For this PGP Activity you will need to review the lesson materials (either by reading or listening) and complete the assessment. You can reach the lesson and the assessment by following the links above. If you have any questions please contact the PGP Coordinator at PGPBSU@bsu.edu. This lesson, Conquering Multisyllabic Words, addresses how to teach the pre skills and the strategies that help individuals with reading disabilities to effectively and efficiently approach unknown words. With this knowledge, individuals with reading disabilities will be able to conquer multisyllabic words, as well as begin to explore the many facets of our universe that are made available through reading. Be sure to print out Handout #1, the Student Outline. It will help you take notes as you listen to the lesson and will also help you to focus on the important points. Handout #2 will contain additional resources. You will be able to use these as you help students conquer multisyllabic words. |
