I predict that in 5 years, DVD will have taken the place of VCRs, and by 10 years everyone will have converted from DVD players to DVD players and recorders.  I also feel that more people will be making DVD personal libraries and rentals will decrease significantly.  I believe that the smaller portable DVD players become, the more likely they will take the place of walkman on car rides and buses.  Planes will likely offer them in place of an in-flight movie once, at least to their first class passengers, so that they can be used on any flight and not just the longest ones.  In 2006, I predict that the debate over DVDs and High Definition DVDs will be over and the standard will be High Definition DVDs.  Finally, I feel that there will be a massive crackdown on DVD internet piracy within 15 years, ending internet piracy.  I predict that this will most likely lead to a great loss of our internet privacy will monitoring for downloading.
