AOL Time Warner has had quite a large history.  The takeover of Time Warner by America Online was the largest ever.  On January 11th, 2001, the deal was finalized at a sticker price of $160 billion dollars.  This created an entertainment, news, and internet company that is the greatest of its time.  AOL Time Warner now preaches that their company 'will connect, inform and entertain people everywhere in innovative ways that enrich their lives.'

AOL Time Warner has set many other records other than this, but not all good. "AOL Time Warner has posted a loss of $56 billion for a single quarter, the biggest deficit in business history."(Computer Active Online)  In short, I believe that AOL Time Warner is in a huge rut right now, but will recover in a few years after the newfound company researches its problems.  You can see a timeline from this company by going to their main website (click here).
