WES JANZ, ARCHITECTURE

Wes and his students will study leftover people, spaces and materials in local and global settings. They will study the homeless in Indianapolis and the “Borderlands” between San Diego and Mexicali. They will consult with leading thinkers around the world to produce an installation at the Dean Johnson Gallery in downtown Indianapolis. The installation will provide the occasion for three public forums on the issues of homelessness, shelter and waste. Students in the seminar will have knowledge of or interest in anthropology, architecture, environmental design, fine arts, geography, history, international business, landscape architecture, telecommunications and urban planning.
In addition to the Dean Johnson Gallery, the seminar will work with several non-profit organizations concerned with homelessness in Indianapolis.
