Beginning this week, Ball State begins welcoming incoming students and their families to campus as part of summer orientation. Thousands of admitted students and their parents will visit campus through July 10 in two-day orientation sessions. During their time here, students meet with an academic adviser, register for fall classes and experience campus life under the direction of student orientation leaders.

Shafer Tower is framed by trees and a brilliant blue soon-to-be summer sky. The university is observing summer hours through Aug. 14. Monday through Friday hours are 7:30 a.m. through 4 p.m. with a 35-minute lunch break.
Ball State student Jennifer Eakins (left) and Jeannette Young (right) were two of 32 young women across Indiana selected to serve in the 2900 500 Festival Princess Program. As ambassadors of the 500 Festival, the Indianapolis 500 and their hometowns, the princesses attended 500 Festival events and volunteer programs throughout the month of May.
