Jan. 22 is on its way to becoming Hoosier Pie Day, thanks to a group of Ball State students who participated in a recent project by the Business Fellows (now Building Better Communities Fellows). As part of the students' immersive learning experience, they helped write the resolution that makes sugar cream Indiana's official pie. WATCH VIDEO

Tourists spend their money in Indiana, creating jobs in various industries
A new study from Building Better Communities and the Center for Business and Economic Research finds that out-of-state visitors spend about $1.4 billion annually on hotels and motels when they visit Indiana's many attractions. The study also finds that a dollar spent on tourism promotion and advertising returns $15 in state and local taxes. FULL STORY
