Some of Ball State's finest student talent participated in the Sept. 23 Talent Search as part of this year's Homecoming festivities. The theme of this year's homecoming was "Red, White + U." The Ball State Cardinals beat the Kent State Golden Flashes 41-20 at the Sept. 27 homecoming game. Ball State's record is 5-0.

The debate was held in Jasper with participating candidates Republican incumbent Mitch Daniels, Democrat Jill Long Thompson and Libertarian Andrew Horning. A final debate with the three candidates is scheduled for Oct. 15 in Bloomington.
