Alumnus honors mentor with art
Art dealer and Ball State alumnus John Surovek commissioned a sculpted portrait of his former professor, Alice Nichols, to be unveiled this month outside the Ball State University Museum of Art. Surovek credits Nichols with helping him graduate from the university in 1968. FULL STORY

President Jo Ann M. Gora, Carol Bowen, Otis "Doc" Bowen and Sally Jo Vasicko, Ball State political science professor, celebrate Bowen's 90th birthday during a March 28 tribute dinner for the former Indiana governor in Indianapolis. The cake is a replica of one of Bowen's early campaign buttons.
