Ball State's Institute for Digital Intermedia Arts and Animation (IDIAA) and the Center for Media Design (CMD) will showcase innovative, student-created digital art forms at its IDIAA 2008 Showcase from 5 to 8 p.m. May 1 at downtown Muncie's Mitchell Place Studios, 301 S. Walnut.
Highlights of the exhibition include Biotown USA, a 3-D visualization of a proposal by the College of Architecture and Planning and the Building Better Communities initiative to transform Reynolds, Ind., into a community powered by green energies, as well as an award-winning interactive 3-D media browser created in Quest 3-D. The exhibit also includes a virtual Ball State University campus and cinema curriculum project developed within Second Life.
The event will coincide with the First Thursday ArtsWalk, a monthly event when galleries celebrate art in Muncie.
