Live local election return coverage is part of a weeklong series, "Whose Democracy Is It?" airing on Indiana Public Radio at 7 p.m. Nov. 3-7 and 1 p.m. Nov. 8.

Leading election coverage from 7 to 11 p.m. Nov. 4 will be Brian Beaver in Delaware County and Marcus Jackman in Madison County. Student reporters will provide on-site coverage from surrounding counties.

In addition to the election coverage, "Whose Democracy Is It?" includes four documentaries from leading public radio producers, a global call-in program from the BBC World Service and interactive Web sites for audience participation. Topics include exporting democracy to other countries, barriers to voting in the United States and the culture of patriotism.

"Whose Democracy Is It?" is the product of the 2003 Public Radio Collaboration. It is underwritten locally by Delco Remy International.
