Provost Beverley Pitts presents Angel Silvers with her certificate as the 11th graduate of the Professional Enhancement Program.

Angel J. Silvers, Central Mailing office coordinator, is the 11th and latest Ball State employee to complete the Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) in information processing sponsored by the Training and Development Office.

The certificate program, which began in 1995, requires 12 semester hours of Ball State course work offered by the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management.

Electives include Microcomputer Applications for Business, Theory of Administrative Information Technology, Records Administration and Desktop Publishing for Business.

PEP allows employees to upgrade and master information processing skills that enhance current job performance and future employment opportunities.

Participants are admitted to the university as non-degree students although employees currently enrolled as regular students are also eligible. Help in paying course fees in available through Ball State's Educational Assistance Program and, if applicable, the Staff Development Program.
