The documentary, "MLK Boulevard: The Concrete Dream," featured the involvement of 14 students in Muncie's Martin Luther King Blvd. controversy and their interaction with the city's African American community.
Documentary filmmaker Marco Williams, who directed "Two Towns of Jasper," created a five-act program with the fourth act devoted to Muncie. The inspiration for the Muncie segment came from the students' project, "The Other Side of Middletown."
Four students were interviewed, said Eric Lassiter, associate professor of anthropology and faculty adviser for the students' project.
The students who worked on the project are (those interviewed for the documentary are in bold): Michelle Anderson, Jessica Booth, Sarah Bricker, Carla Burke, Abigail Delpha, Jarrod Dortch, Eric Efaw, Mia Fields, Daniel Gawlowski, Michelle Johnson, Carrie Kissel, Anne Kraemer, Ashley Moore and Cari Peterson.
