During the 2006-07 academic year, the Learning Center accomplished many goals set forth by staff as documented through our data collection and extensive analyses.

The Learning Center's staff consists of three professional coordinators (Jacqueline Harris, Jennifer Haley, Gary Ritz ), an office supervisor, an office assistant, 15 graduate assistants, and more than 150 peer tutors and supplemental instruction (SI) leaders.

Point:   National recognition as the first four-year recipient of the tutoring program
           certification award granted by the National Association for Developmental
           Education. This honored certification is valid from March 2000 to March
           2007.

Point:   Learning Center clients for academic year 06-07 totaled more than 3,400.

Point:   Free Tutoring contacts for the academic 06-07 totaled more than 16,000.

Point:   Supplemental Instruction contacts for the academic year totaled more than
           10,000.

Point:    19% of  06-07 university students on campus used the Learning Center.

Point:   06-07 new freshmen (40% of all new freshmen) who used the services
           of the Learning Center received 2.716 or higher GPA for the academic year

Point:   More than 150 honors and distinction students used the Learning Center's
           services

Point:    3,039 clients had GPAs of 2.00 or higher

Point:   More than 82% of the students using the Learning Center's services 
           received passing grades

Point:   College Reading & Learning Association / International Tutor 
           Certification Program to issue Regular / Level I; Advanced / Level II;
           and Master / Level III
