If you're worried about succeeding in college-level math classes, you're not alone. Our busiest tutors, math tutors, can help you in the following ways:
Gary Ritz : Mathmatics and Technologies Coordinator
- answer questions
- review material for quizzes and tests
- provide test preparation and test-taking tips
- establish short- and long-term study goals
Tutoring is provided through appointment and walk-in service.
- If your math skills are rusty, or if you do not meet the required prerequisites for the courses that you need, it is your responsibility to acquire the skills that you have forgotten or have not yet mastered. The Learning Center will help you achieve these goals.
- Your academic advisor will help you plan the best option for you, and Learning Center graduate and undergraduate students selected and trained as tutors are available to help.
- Many students will be successful in their first course if they seek peer tutoring in the Learning Center while they are enrolled in the course. Others, however, will need systematic self-study prior to enrolling for that first course. Both options are available to you, but you must assume the responsibility for seeking and using the services.
