Imaging (WebXtender - ApplicationXtender)
University Computing Services supports a comprehensive imaging system that brings together all types of information - documents, images, video, audio, reports and computer output (COLD/ERM), desktop documents and more – making them part of a centralized information storehouse, while still maintaining them in their native file formats. All this information is available using either WebXtender, www.bsu.edu/imaging, or a desktop application call ApplicationXtender.

Some of the benefits include:
-  Reduces or eliminates lost or misplaced documents
-  Minimizes report output printing, duplication, physical storage and distribution costs
-  Reduces file cabinet or physical storage, hard-copy archival and microfiche
-  Eliminates time-consuming manual searches thru paper files, reports microfiche and/or unnecessary sifting through unrelated information
-  Reduces legal risk via improved controls over business information
-  Delivers the right information to the right person at the right time
-  Improves the quality of business decisions
-  Enables enhanced customer service levels
-  Facilitates collaboration between users and departments
-  Streamlines and controls business processes through automated business process management

Document and report viewing requests are completed by the requestor and must be approved by the designed coordinators.  Security will then be set up by UCS to ensure data confidentiality.  Request forms can be located at www.bsu.edu/imaging.
