Check Local Settings to Receive Important E-mail
BSU's new spam filtering system has cut out so many spam messages that it literally blocks one and a half to two million of these annoying messages every day!

To make sure you receive legitimate e-mail, be sure to turn off the local Microsoft Outlook Junk E-mail Filter.  If you do not turn off this filter, you could potentially miss important, legitimate e-mail.

For Web Mail users (see example below) simply visit www.bsu.edu/webmail and select options from the left-hand side.  Next scroll down until you see Privacy and Junk E-mail Prevention.  Simply uncheck the box next to Filter Junk E-mail

For Outlook users (see example below) open up Outlook and go to Actions.  Then select Junk E-mail and Junk E-mail Options.  Select the top option reading No Automatic Filtering.  Select Ok.
